Inhibiting skin aging: antioxidants in cosmetics

What are "free radicals"?

If you have already encountered the signs of aging skin and are looking for a solution to the problem, then you have probably come across the term "free radicals". These substances are considered the main reason for

skin aging.

Your skin is constantly breathing and in contact with air. Oxygen is vital

by the body, but it also produces those very harmful free radicals. They are

molecules that lack a paired electron. Such a molecule tries to make up for the deficiency

and "take" an electron from other molecules, and they also become free radicals.

So the formation of free radicals is a completely natural process that goes on

incessantly cells of your body. Even this minute! And ultraviolet radiation,

smoking, toxic waste and other factors accelerate it.

Due to free radicals, the work of cells is disrupted and structural elements of the skin are damaged.

The result of harmful effects appears gradually: yours the skin loses its firmness and

elasticity, becomes flabby, wrinkles and age spots form. Unfortunately,

will not be able to avoid this. But to reduce the destructive effect of free radicals on the skin and extend

youth by 5, 10 or even 20 years more than possible! Antioxidants will come to your aid.

What are antioxidants and why are they for your

skin?

Antioxidants are substances that block the action of free radicals. These substances

work in two ways. On the one hand, they bind free radicals and do not

damage cells. On the other hand, antioxidants eliminate the effects of damage already

and stimulate skin regeneration.

Many elements of the surrounding world have antioxidant properties. Some of them

are generated in your body, others can come from food, cosmetics and

medications. Most antioxidants come from plants and minerals. It is not in vain that, since ancient

antiquity, women have used the leaves, fruits and roots of plants for facial care. Maybe they

didn't know the term "antioxidants", but they

knew exactly how to preserve their beauty for many years!

Modern cosmetology actively uses antioxidants for anti-aging care skin.
